Sristi KC - I Lost My Sight But I Found My Vision | The Inspire Nepal Show - Episode 33
Sristi is a blind dancer from Nepal and the Founder of Blind Rocks. At age sixteen she lost her eye sight. Initially she struggled to cope with her new situation. She was able to overcome many challenges to lead a life filled with happiness and dignity. Commonly blind people are treated as objects of pity and charity and she seeks to empower the blind as she has empowered herself. What initially was her limitation has now become her springboard and she is ready to rock the blind.
Her passion to empower the blind people to enjoy life like any other sighted person grew. She started organising various workshops in Nepal and India. The reactions of her participants encouraged her so much that she decided to set up “Blind Rocks!” an organisation that will travel around the world to get the blind out of their comfort zones and empower them to be part of life.
