Yesterday was the last session of the Community Art Workshop with Nepalis in Qatar -- we've met for the last three Fridays at VCUQatar --- Jan 13, 20, and 27 at VCUQ -- for the workshop to explore creativity and community engagement through the arts -- sharing our collective stories of home, city, identity. Visiting artists from Nepal —Hitmaan Gurung, Mekh Limbu, and Sheelasha Rajbhandari, in collaboration with Doha-based artists Abdulla Al Kuwari, Carolina Aranibar Fernandez, and Emelina Soares. The outcomes of this collaborative Community Art project will be in the curated showcase "Built/Unbuilt : City/Home in the Kathmandu Triennale (March 23-April 7).
